Chapter 3 Trading journal #139–08/01/2019 +$502
Options note:
- When the market is tanking, selling puts on AMZN is a bad decision. Because at this point, this is a Market play, and you (I never know) when It will stop. AMZN moved more than 1ATR today before I decided to initiative position, It still tanked 12,5 more points against me. The thing is, I was ok with the prices, which were 4–5 strikes higher, but IV spiked up 100 more points ( my entry was at 300 points — which is quite unusual. Usually, it’s 60–80 points range) ( as opposed to regular move 60–80 points) and my puts went 4x against me. I was ready to get out if $AMZN held below 1840s (60-point move from the highs).
Trades:
IZEA +$95
FIT +$51
AVEO +37
Was not getting the spots where I wanted to place my full risk, as a result, it worked out only with 1/3 of the planned size.
The chapter associated with these trading journals is still in production.
