What Elephant Money’s PEANUTS Boil Down to…

The Mechanics of Peanuts
Put simply, Peanuts uses BUSD to buy and bond cheap PCS priced TRUNK into Stampede. That BUSD goes directly into the BUSD Treasury, which then purchases ELEPHANT token daily to stuff into BERTHA. From A-to-B, Peanuts feeds BERTHA. This is what the MINT button used to do as well, but currently doesn’t make sense to mint TRUNK $1-for-$1
Currently, the BUSD Treasury buys ELEPHANT token daily at a rate of 20%. Bankteller can pull the levers on the percentage from 1% up to 50%, but 20% works well enough, and just know the percentages will be set to be most advantageous for the protocol.
Peanuts will not go higher than 4x on buying PCS TRUNK, meaning $0.25 is the cutoff on the 25% raffle bonus, so if PCS TRUNK price goes down to $0.10, then that’s essentially a 10x back to $1 TRUNK, but Peanuts will stay locked at $0.25 as a minimum. If this is the case, the community will need to buy on PCS to get the most TRUNK for their dollar, which in turn raises PCS TRUNK price.
Quick Example with $1000 BUSD with PCS TRUNK at $0.25:
- $1000 BUSD in Peanuts will bond 4,000 TRUNK into your Stampede.
- For the raffle only, a 25% bonus on that 4,000 TRUNK will put you in the Max Depositor running with 5,000 TRUNK (technically 5,250 for somebody else to beat you due to 5% anti-snipe measure).
- that $1000 BUSD goes directly into the BUSD Treasury to purchase ELEPHANT daily.
Below, is a tweet of me finally winning the Max Depositor (3rd time’s a charm). I threw about $4,500 BUSD into Peanuts, which bonded ~18K TRUNK into my stampede, but counted ~23K TRUNK as my raffle entry, enough to win Max Depositor!

Bonding TRUNK is best with Peanuts at the moment; best deal around. If price falls well below $0.25, then buying on PCS might be more viable. If interested in native staking instead of Stampede, buying on PCS is also best.
For buying ELEPHANT token, be sure to BUY WITH BERTHA (BwB), and do not forget to have a HERD partner so you pay 8.5% instead of 9%. For Stampede, this also means you airdrop yourself 0.5% of all of your own activity.
