It has never been “EASIER” to start a business… So what’s stopping you?

With the advent of Web 2.0 in today’s society and the prominent internet companies that have essentially taken over our lives like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so forth, There has never been a better time to build a low cost, low time consuming, high revenue side business that could potentially overcome your current income and allow you to live a leisurely existence.

Anybody with an idea can make something of it on the internet, however to become of what you want it to be does require effort in the early stages. Zucks didn’t spend five minutes designing a website and BOOM Facebook was born. No. He has notoriously spent years refining and tweaking his platform so it would be suitable for the people who use his service and now the advertisers who keep the profits flowing in the company. I could go on and on about the other tech entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates etc. But the one thing they all have in common is the Execution they put in to their business. No one can deny that they so not deserve what they have cause we all know they executed their ideas with precision and effort.

If you wish to start a business, there are a few ways to begin with little to no cost. If you’re reading this I assume not only you have a smartphone or PC but a working internet connection.

You could always start with a Wordpress Blog about the exciting things that happen in your life or anything you’re interested in or good at. Place a few ads on your page and although the revenue paid per ‘000 impressions isn’t that great, it could be a great springboard to something bigger.

Lets expand on the last idea by introducing a Vlog (Video Blog) and uploading it to a service like Youtube. You can use your smartphone to record the video because the quality of video produced on phone cameras these days are way better than the television quality 10 years ago. Nearly all smartphones come with HD 1080p recording these days and they’re only getting better.

Do you have authority in a niche industry like Fitness etc. You can promote other peoples products on affiliate sites like Clickbank and JVZoo. Better yet… Create your own product and get affiliates to sell it for you and all you have to do is give them a slice of the proceeds. What I like about digital products is that once you create the product, There is unlimited supply in the market and you can sell until it sells no more. No more restocking.

Another way can be to use platforms like Udemy and Skillshare to create courses on what you’re well knowledged in that people can take in their spare time and earn a commission from the proceeds.

These are a few ways out of many to start a side business with that 5 minutes you have available everyday. I’m sure you can find it somewhere in your schedule. Do it when the kids go to bed, skip an episode of your favourite TV series you’re binge watching, even get up a little bit earlier. As Shia LaBeouf once said in a viral video… JUST DO IT!!

These ideas may seem too simplistic but the idea is only 1% of the business. The other 99% is the EXECUTION. Most businesses don’t survive their first year because the owner becomes lazy because the work they’ve done hasn’t yet produced results. Keep at it and Become the 1%
