MPOW Armor Plus Bluetooth Speaker Review

This speaker is a beast.

There’s not much else to say about it. When you first unbox this monster you are greeted with the speaker nicely snuggled within the box. It is a minimalistic looking speaker. When MPOW brands this as the “Armor Plus” they are not joking. The speaker is built to last. It feels solid and heavy in the hand and sits nicely on a desk or the shower. This speaker is water resistant and sounds wonderful in the shower. The flap over the charging port on the side is strong and sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about it coming undone and having water wreck havoc on your brand new speaker. It will also let you charge a device from it, using a USB port located next to the charging port.

It doesn’t just sound wonderful in the shower though, it sounds wonderful anywhere you play it. The highs are crisp, the mids sound how mids should sound and the bass is deep and powerful. I’m not a crazy audiophile, but I do like my music to sound like it is meant to sound by the artist(s) and this speaker gets the job done. It has a power on button, volume buttons, play/pause button, skip track and answer/hang up button along the top. The buttons are nice and clicky, no complaints there. Answering calls from your significant other or mom (Nobody else calls these days) is nice as well. The mic picks up your voice easily and is very clear. I had no complaints from any of my test calls.

The speaker auto pairs with your phone when it is turned on, which is very convenient to just jump right into your music.
