Kitchen Ingredients That Can Reduce Stretch Marks Naturally

We all know what stretch marks are- they are visible off-colored lines on the surface of the skin that are caused due to pregnancy, sudden weight gain or loss, heredity factors, rapid growth, stress and changes in physical conditions. They are commonly seen in the abdominal area, the thighs, upper arms, breasts and buttocks.

While a lot of us are comfortable with having stretch marks on our skin, there are a large number of people who tend to feel self-conscious and insecure because of them.

Although there are many ways to get rid of stretch marks on the skin, once and for all, like surgery and laser, not many people can afford to spend so much on getting them removed.

There is no reason to be disheartened as all is not lost- with a few natural and effective ways, one can improve the appearance of these lines to a great extent.

Here, we have listed a few ways to naturally get rid of stretch marks-

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has healing and soothing properties that can improve stretch marks. The gel can be applied directly onto the affected area of the skin.

Alternatively, the gel can be mixed with Vitamin E capsules and Vitamin A capsules and then applied to the skin regularly.

Castor oil

Similar to Aloe Vera, castor oil is useful for many skin ailments, including stretch marks. The oil can be used to massage directly onto the skin. The massage should be done in light circular motion for about ten minutes and heat can be applied to the area after covering it with a cotton cloth.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has bleaching properties and is naturally acidic which is beneficial for the removal of stretch marks, and other scars. The juice can be directly applied to the affected area with massaging motion; after letting it soak for about ten minutes, it should be washed off with lukewarm water.

Lemon juice can also be mixed with cucumber juice to treat stretch marks.

Egg White

Egg whites, a rich source of protein can help with stretch marks. The egg whites are whipped and applied to the area and allowed to dry. After drying, it is washed off, and is followed by the application of a moisturizer.

Sugar exfoliates the skin and is helpful in getting rid of stretch marks naturally. Sugar should be mixed with almond oil and lemon juice and then mixed well before applying to the skin. This should be done daily, at least for a month to notice positive results.
