How Lupus Diseases Cause Hair Loss?

Are you suffering from hair loss due to the medical disorder “Lupus”, then don’t worry now because I am going to tell you how lupus can cause hair loss?
Hair loss can be caused by many reasons like due to unhealthy food, mishandling of hair, improper sleep timings, excessive use of heating tools like straighter, curlers, genetics, direct exposure to the sun, chlorinated water, dandruff, medical disorder like anemia, cancer, thyroid disorder etc.

Hair loss can also be caused by the medical disorder i.e. Lupus. If you are suffering from it or you are using prescribed medications to cure it. In both cases, you will have to suffer from hair loss as a side effect.

Lupus can affect your body internally and externally too by causing hair loss. • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), affects multiple organs in the body.
• Subacute cutaneous erythematosus, it causes the inflammation and sores on the skin.
• Discoid lupus erythematosus, it causes a long-lasting rash on the skin.
• Drug-induced lupus, caused by some medications.

Symptoms of Lupus:

• rash or redness on face
• sensitivity to the sun
• chest pain
• Swollen glands, legs, around the eyes and in joints.

• ulcers around the nose or mouth

Tips to Cope with Hair Loss Caused by Lupus:

• Change your hair style.
• Use hair extensions like wigs etc.
• Hair transplantation
• Try to reduce your stress by participating in the sports, walk, hiking, yoga, meditation etc.
• Avoid the direct exposure of the sun, wear a hat while going out.
• Get plenty of rest so that your body
• Avoid the exposure to halogen lights or fluorescent lights.
• Cure your infections completely by getting the effective and safe treatments.
• Try a shorter hairstyle.
• Color your hair
• Try to wear scarves, hair wraps, caps etc.
• Use a hair volumizer
• Use a gentle shampoo which contains nourishing ingredients.
• Take biotin supplements according to the prescription of the doctor.
• Try to increase the intake of healthy diet.
• Try to use silk pillowcases
• Use organic, unrefined coconut oil to soften your hair.
• Keep your body hydrated by increasing the intake of juices, shakes etc. and by drinking at least 6–8 glasses of water.

Lupus really affects the body and its diagnosis brings many physical changes like hair loss. Hair loss is the side effect of lupus and the medications which are used to cure lupus. Some other medical disorders like cancer, anemia, thyroid disorder etc. can also cause hair loss.

The regrowth if the hair depends on the severity of your hair loss. If you have treated it in time with the right, effective and safe treatment then you have chances of the hair regrowth.

But if you are using home remedies, homeopathic medications, allopathic medications, advertised products etc. then you won’t be able to cure your hair loss problem which is caused by lupus. Because these all are the temporary treatments and don’t provide the expected results in time.
Don’t try to self-diagnose, in fact, avoid the temporary treatments because it will give you worse results than before. Temporary treatments are affordable but these can harm your body and you may have to suffer from the allergies, side effects and complications.
