Whether you are an experienced short-term rental owner, or a first-timer, it’s important to ensure that your home or condo has the minimum requirements for your guests!
In my series of postings, I will provide links for every item that you’ll need to stock in your short-term rental property.
From 2008–2014, I owned and ran Argent Decor, a Vacation Home Furnishing Service, in Phoenix, Arizona. I worked off of a very similar list to provide turn-key packages for vacation homes and short-term rental properties.

I’ve selected furniture from Ashley Furniture and Coaster Home Furnishings — they are brands I had wholesale accounts with when I had my furnishing business. I consider them sturdy enough for a short-term rental, without breaking the bank.
Pieces shown will not require assembly beyond turning handles around to face out, and putting feet on. This is important, as when I furnished our villa in Belize, I bought some pieces from a local store, Court’s. They were more “value line” offerings, and one item had 264 parts and pieces! The cost savings was not worth the extra time and frustration.
If you are not handy and/or are not in the same area as your STR home, you may want to coordinate with a handyperson from taskrabbit or Thumbtack.
