Hemp, Three Powerful Uses You Didn’t Know.

Since the early 1900’s Cannabis has been demonized for a myriad of reasons. Now in this article, I will not be writing on these instances and my opinions why it has been criminalized so shamefully. In lieu of the changing times, states going recreational and my love for the plant in its fullest capacity this article will be focused on the plant’s benefits. Since the cats out of the bag on its medicinal and therapeutic properties, we will be touching on other subjects beyond Marijuana & CBD. Prepare your mind for a belief system change as we dive into the world of Hemp.
For starters, the only thing that differentiates Marijuana and Hemp is the amount of active THC that is found in the plant. Something that I find fascinating about this plant is that most people don’t know how powerful cannabis is beyond its medicinal abilities. Hemp is currently shifting the world in many ways we are not aware of, which is why I am writing this in the first place. Before you read on to the first powerful use of hemp you most likely did not know about, make sure you keep an open mind as you read this. New information sticks best when you drop your resistance to change!
- Clothing

Hemp is known to have some extremely beneficial properties when it comes to textiles. There are generally three properties when it comes to Hemp clothing that makes it different than your standard cotton t-shirt. Not only is hemp UV resistant to a degree, but it is also moisture-wicking and anti-microbial. This combination packs a punch, especially for people who sweat, spend time outside and are highly physically active. I personally hold this property close to heart as I have begun building out my 2nd Hemp clothing line to date.
Another cross benefit comes into play when you learn about Hemp and phytoremediation. Phytoremediation is defined as the process of green plants removing toxins and contamination from the soil. Hemp is known to be one of the best plants to use in this process, especially for the reduction of the heavy metal cadmium from the soil. It’s no doubt that Hemp is powerful and keep in mind the process of phytoremediation as we move into the second powerful use of Hemp you probably didn’t know.
2. Fuel

Not only is Hemp highly medicinal, beneficial for clothing and cleaning our soil, it can also be used to create biofuel. Now keep in mind as we just discussed the process of phytoremediation, this plays a major role in turning the hemp plant into fuel. Since Hemp is capable of removing toxins from the soil, it also traps the toxins which means Hemp that is planted to clean the soil should not be used for wearing or ingestion (CBD/Marijuana). The best thing that can happen to the plants next is the conversion into biofuel.
Hemp can be converted into two fuels, first off Biodiesel from compressing the hemp seed into an oil form. Second, the stalk can be fermented and transformed into ethanol. The use of hemp biodiesel can also extend the life of diesel engines because it is more lubricating than petroleum diesel fuel. This means we can extend the life of our vehicles while being able to achieve efficiency, cost and reduce emissions at the same time. The knowledge of this subject is ALL OVER the internet, so do yourself a favor and check out how Hemp biofuel could change our world forever.
Now you may be wondering what else Hemp can be used for. To be honest it has too many to count on my two hands multiplied by one-hundred. This plant is truly diverse and has been overlooked or ignored due to the greedy pockets of the oil, health, pharmaceutical, psychological and clothing industries. For me, this last one also hit’s home close as Health & Wellness are a HUGE part of my personal life. So what else can Hemp do?
3. Food

I love Hemp for many reasons and that even goes for its delicious seeds. Hemp seeds are known to have a handful of beneficial health properties. Ranging from high amounts of omega 3s & 6s to reducing your sugar cravings. Hemp also is known to have an impressive amino acid profile which shows how versatile this plant really is. It’s no doubt that this plant is truly a game changer today, especially as we face major pollution, health, and fuel issues. I’ll back this plant until I pass away and I back anyone who uses it to heal their bodies or the earth’s soil.
If you read this article all the way through and enjoyed it please share with your family, friends and associates. Each time we open someone’s mind to this plant the more it is used. The more it is used, the more it is planted. The more it is planted, the more soil is cleaned. The more soil that is cleaned, will reap fresher vegetables/fruits. The fresher more organic veg/fruit we consume the healthier we become. The healthier we become the better decisions we make and when we make better decisions we co-create a better world.
