Hey Kolin, I try to picture how I would feel if I were in the Milgram experiment. I would like to think that I would not obey the teacher and stop providing shocks, but I don’t know. But let’s say I kept giving the shocks to the max voltage, and afterward they told me about the study and nobody was actually hurt. While yes, I would be relieved that I didn’t hurt anyone, I would still feel like a terrible person. I would know something about myself that I wouldn’t really want to know, that I am easily tricked, and I am a puppet as soon as I think they are in a position of authority. Great post! It got me thinking differently about the Milgram experiment.
