Another book you might find helpful is Winning With Data by Tomasz Tunguz (VC at Redpoint) and Frank Bien (CEO of Looker):
They dive into some of the challenges data teams and analysts face within their organizations.
The one that stood out the most to me was what they call the “data bread line.” Where there’s a higher demand for data/answers to questions than there are people in the company with the skills to get those answers.
What you end up with is a data team that’s constantly backlogged, jumping from request to request trying to keep up — rather than doing the predictive work that would bring a ton of value to the org.
They discuss different ways to make data more accessible and increase data literacy for business users.
Could be helpful when thinking about some of the “social” issues that someone else had previously mentioned
