Douyin is as known for China’s version of TikTok, it has been taking over the net flow in China. How does it fit into the country?

Douyin has taken control of China’s net flow for a few years now, especially for the younger generation. It’s known for having the most funny, useful, trending information or talented people in different ways. Douyin has created many opportunities for different people to actually have a job on this app.
With live-streaming sales becoming a more popular thing to try, Douyin users trying to invite different kinds of celebrities to join their live-streaming sales. One of the most popular live-streaming sale user on the app is “@薇娅Viya”(with 1.7million followers) even invited Taylor Swift, who is known as an American most hit pop singer, to join the live-streaming sales. I believe that Douyin provided a fair platform for people to use whether it’s for making money or just for fun, it has no threshold and the app has a huge net flows which allows people to get more customers or viewers.
As a student who wants to creat some self-worth or get a part time job, I understand that finding a great job or getting some opportunities could be a difficult thing for us. There are a lot of requirements to get a great job, Since now that Douyin net flow is increasing, there are always opportunities for people. In any industry, short videos or live streaming can be used to promote marketing, increase their exposure which I believe is the most important thing to do, they need people to see them. I found different kinds of industry trying to do their business on Douyin, such as @李佳琦Austin , who started his live-streaming sales only few years ago and he’s a huge success in China now, or @Sephora, known as a makeup brand. I am more convinced of the diversity of opportunities on Douyin platform.
I found it was easy enough for people to use Douyin for work or for fun. People can see clearly what the creators are trying to say just in a simple short video. Many people can do their dream job in Douyin by performing in a short video or start a live stream. A lot of people lost their job due to the pandemic and obviously this platform created a new way for people to make money with social distance. It’s a brand new way and it is working for us because it’s much easier, faster.
Not only the pandemic cause people to lose jobs, but also it distant people. Douyin provide this platform for people to use, it doesn’t matter what degrees people have, all we have to do is just try. This app creates endless opportunities whether it’s for fun or for job. People can actually have fun while they’re working. Social distance has became the most important thing for us since 2020, which is the start of the pandemic. Douyin is one of the best and fastest way for people to find out what’s going on in the world. It always know what’s hit.
Douyin not only promotes the exchange of different companies from all over the world, but also enables other people to give it a shot without having any unacceptable consequences. According the the article, “As brands continue to increase their investment in China’s various digital platforms, they are able to reach an even wider audience through a variety of ways. This can be in the form of content in collaboration with celebrities, influencers or media.”
According to the article, “The Chinese version of TikTok, called Douyin, has amassed 400 million daily active users, parent company ByteDance revealed in its annual report this week (in Chinese).” Douyin has a such huge number of active users which I assume can creates more than any other app. It allows people to see more and know more about the whole wild world, opened up new horizons for people in a so much easier way. And it definitely changed how people sale their products in China which is a huge success for Douyin.
From my point of view, Douyin’s opportunities can be unlimited. It also opens the door for people with disabilities. People can stay at home and work instead of have to be in the company. Douyin helped to achieved impossible things for people with disabilities and it’s a great thing for our society, we can all make a contribution to society in our own way. People cannot travel around due to the pandemic, this platform not only creates thousands of opportunities, but also a great way for people to stay in touch or inspire others to create new stuff.
Douyin definitely has changed how people promote and sale their products and it definitely created thousands of opportunities for people. It’s not only a platform to show people’s talent or make fun videos, but only a platform for people to do their careers in a brand new way. It somehow connects different kinds of people, whether is different cultures or languages, I found it’s the easiest and fastest way to be connected and it’s very obvious that people are willing to give Douyin a chance to make a difference.
