how long are we going to busy ourselves talking about a problem? When do we decide that we have enough data, research and anecdotal, to start working toward solutions? I do know that the longer we treat things as new, the longer we will fail to act.

YES! THIS! ALL OF THIS! We need to stop grabbing issues for clicks, likes and subscriptions and then moving on to the next popular topic. If we can’t do more than intellectualize the topic then we are failing at our goal of changing the culture. In the meantime you have the opposition touting government services as a solution and getting credit for being willing to address a problem, regardless of how awful the solution. Let’s start brainstorming!
