Hanwha Noh Si-hwan, who won the KBO League RBI Award and Home Run Award, is taking a commemorative photo at the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Awards Ceremony held at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 27th.
‘Young slugger’ Noh Si-hwan (23, Hanwha Eagles) received the grand prize, the ‘Player of the Year’ award, at the ‘2023 Professional Baseball Sports Seoul Award of the Year’ ceremony.
Noh Si-hwan stood tall as the brightest star at the awards ceremony held at the Imperial Hall of the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 30th.
In the 2023 KBO League regular season, Noh Si-hwan ranked first in home runs (31) and RBIs (101).
He also played an active role as a key hitter for the young Korean baseball team at the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Professional Baseball Championship (APBC).
Noh Si-hwan said, “I had a really meaningful season. I am grateful to the fans who supported me until the end even though the team’s performance was not good. My goal is to become the best player in Korea and help the team advance to the fall baseball season. I will work harder, so please look forward to it.” .
Go Young-pyo (KT Wiz) was selected as the pitcher of the year.He appeared in 28 games this season and posted a record of 12 wins, 7 losses, and an ERA of 2.78.
Son Ah-seop (NC Dinos), who ranked first in batting average (0.339) and hits (187), received the Batter of the Year award.
Moon Hyun-bin (Hanwha) became the inaugural winner of ‘Our Superstar’, which determines the winner solely by 100% fan voting.
The LG Twins, who achieved a combined championship for the first time in 29 years, continued the entertainment of the championship by sweeping manager of the year, coach, defense, and front office awards with manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, coaches Lee Ho-jun, Park Hae-min, and the front office.
Dong-ju Moon (Hanwha) was selected as Rookie of the Year, and Taek-yeon Kim (Incheon High School) was selected as Amateur of the Year.
Kim Ha-seong (San Diego Padres), the first Korean to receive a Major League Gold Glove, received a special award.
