During recent Blocksize Wars, SlushPool was silent for long time. Although the pool was the first who let miners support Bitcoin XT, it was a quick&dirty hack and it required changes on miner side. That became a huge barrier for significant players with hundreds of connected miners. Bitcoin XT is officially dead now, yet Blocksize Wars are not over. We in SlushPool believe that round-table debates are not the way how to end this war, only hashrate is. Few days ago SlushPool introduced Blocksize Voting Feature, which is an unique way of letting individual miners to join the “discussion”.

Despite what many people think, voting within the pool does not just let us know what do you personally prefer, your vote actually changes the Stratum mining template on which your miners are working on. Today I’ll show you how does it work and how it affects your miners.

Your hashrate does not have to be of the biggest ones , you can vote regardless of its size. You might be the lucky one and mine a block that will change the (bitcoin) world.
