My dad died, and I don’t know how to talk about it

Kristin, my heart goes out to you. And it’s true, the logistical morass that you face in the wake of loss is mind-blowing. My brother died suddenly a couple of years ago — hit by a drunk driver — and I hardly could process the loss for months because I was so caught up in dealing with funeral arrangements, bills, insurance, thanking people, finding random necessary things…the list could go on.

I noticed your note about the car. I thought I’d pass this on to you — something I wrote for Modern Loss. Great site worth looking at for writings on grief and loss. Strength and love to you.
