“Breathing” a poem by Sidney Mansueto

Just another day to thrive is here

When all of my worries rush through a nasty race

Of what, when, why, where, and how,

Far from the truth, the lies’ punches hurt.

I try to feed myself healthy foods,

But the poison spills

as I forget to be thankful to be breathing.

I need to live in the moment and turn the worry off,

Today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life

I will try and breathe, and not worry.
