An introduction to all features in Findora Analytics by Smart Stake available at findora.smartstake.io

Findora Analytics dashboard, built by Smart Stake as part of a grant from Findora, allows all participants of Findora network to assess various aspects of staking. It provides features for monitoring validator performance, assessing which validators are best fit for individual needs, calculating expected rewards, and checking network metrics.

Findora Analytics dashboard has the following features:

  1. Validators — focused on providing features for delegates looking for a validator. Includes features to assess validators in several different ways. Validators/delegates can use it to monitor short term and long term performance of the validator nodes.
  2. Staking Rewards Calculator — allows users to see anticipated staking rewards based on network level APR as well as based on individual validators’ performance and commission.
  3. Network — Network stats related to staking, decentralization, block signature, staking APR. Some of the network stats are included on the Validators List screen for logical grouping.

Validators — assess validators historical performance

Findora Analytics provides a flexible way to compare validator details and historical performance, thereby enabling delegates to easily narrow down to the validators they want to stake with. Historical performance data is available for all validators in various different time frames.

Validators List

The screen provides list of all validators on Findora and allows users to configure the data elements they want to view. See below screenshot for a cheat sheet explaining different parts of the screen:

Validators List

The data available for each validator is:

  • ❤️ Favorite Icon — Select for validators that you want shown on the top (e.g. validators you stake with). Click again to remove favorite.
  • Name — Validator Name. Click on it to open validator home page
  • Self Delegation — aka skin in the game. Amount of $FRA tokens staked by the validator itself.
  • Total Stake — Total amount of $FRA tokens staked with the validator
  • Stake Weight — Stake Weight is a percentage of the total FRA staked on the network that are staked with this pool. It is calculated as: Stake weight = (Number of FRA staked with the pool * 100) / Total number of FRA staked.
  • Commission — Commission is the %age of delegate rewards that validator gets for providing the service. If a delegate is staking 10000 FRA and expected returns are 10%, the delegate gets 950 FRA and the validator gets 50 FRA per year (with all things remaining as is for the year and without any compounding considerations)
  • Unique Delegates — Number of addresses delegating with the validator
  • Performance Metric Timeframes — Performance metrics are captured in several timeframes. Last 8 hours aka Current timeframe, Daily / last 24 hours, 10D / Medium term / last 10 days, Average / Long term / last 30 days
  • Current Signed, Daily Signed, 10D Signed, Long Term Signed — Number of blocks signed by the validator
  • Current Missed, Daily Sign Missed, 10D Sign Missed, Long Term Sign Missed — Number of blocks missed (not signed) by the validator
  • Current Sign %, Daily Sign %, 10D Sign %, Avg /Long Term Sign % — Percentage of all blocks signed by the validator
  • Net APR — Expected staking rewards returns per year in percentage if delegated with the selected validator

The validators that are no longer online are also shown in the dashboard but highlighted differently for readability.

Customize the Validators List screen

Using the customize button on Validators List screen, delegates can compare validators on any of the available metrics. Once a custom view is created, the settings will be saved within the browser so that the delegate sees the screen as they have customized. The only time the screen will reset to default views is when new data elements/features are added in the dashboard.

Validator Home Screen / Validator Details

Validator home provides all the details that are available in the validator list. In addition, it provides validator website, node address, running performance summary, hourly performance summary, daily performance summary. It also provides a way to assess performance data for a longer timeframe

Staking Rewards Calculator

Staking rewards calculator allows delegates to see expected staking returns with and without compounding. The calculator also includes feature to see expected rewards for specific validators based on their individual staking returns.

The analytics dashboard provides network level summary of block signatures as well as historical chart for staking APR.
