SMC DAO is a community organization founded by Sir Mapy on December 1, 2021, dedicated to providing value for everyone in the digital economy.
SMC is an abbreviation that stands for Sir Mapy & Co. while DAO stands for Decentralized Autonomous Organization which is the structure after which the community is modeled.
We started as a small community on Telegram with the goal of educating people about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, but have since grown to over 11,645 registered members.
Every member of our community is called a Believer.
At the core of our community operations is our innovative Point System called SMC Point System which encourages and rewards participation and contribution within the community.
Believers earn points for activities like creating educational content, conducting research, or engaging in other valuable community contributions. Badges are also awarded as recognition for achieving certain milestones.
These points and badges are visible upon logging into your community profile.
SMC DAO has also been instrumental in launching significant projects like Wiki Cat (WKC), a cryptocurrency created as an educational tool that gained substantial market value, as well as Defi Tiger (DTG), a project aligning with environmental conservation efforts and showcasing SMC DAO’s commitment to social responsibility.
We are currently developing the latest iteration of SMC DAO, aptly named SMC 2.0.
This ambitious project involves creating 2 new mobile applications for both android and IOS.
Our Number 1 app is a unique wallet infrastructure integrated with blockchain nodes called Peniwallet,
While our number 2 app is a dynamic social community app that includes both private and group chat functionalities as well as a library feature for all our resources.
In our pursuit to foster sustainable growth and undertake more ambitious projects, we also have a dedicated community wallet where we keep our community funds called “SMC Mega Wallet”.
This initiative represents a strategic approach to community-driven investment and financial management.
The SMC Mega Wallet is a cornerstone of our mission at SMC DAO, with a special emphasis on Africa.
This Wallet contains carefully selected and well-researched tokens, identified for their investment potential, underpinning the continuous operation and expansion of our community.
Strengthening our financial position through our investments in SMC Mega Wallet enhances our capacity to address the digital divide in Africa, enabling us to offer accessible education and resources to its 1.4 billion inhabitants.
