I beat myself up when I’m being lazy, because I know I’m not doing what I can with what I have. Maybe that’s unhealthy. But maybe ignoring it is fatal.
Do What You Can With What You Have
Ayodeji Awosika

This is me to a T. I am very hard on myself when I feel like I’m not using my time wisely. I, too, have always been writing, have been since I was about 6 years old, and started writing poems in middle school AND short stories. I never published any works, but I’m now typing up something I feel I could definitely make into a published piece. But this resonated with me deeply because I beat myself up about this, especially when I have time, whether I’m with my son or not.
