When you think of top selling mild cigars, it’s easy to think they have probably been on the market awhile. You might also think that if they’re the best of the best, chances are you have probably smoked at least some of them.

Think again.

When I started my research on the bestselling mild cigars in America, boy was I in for a treat. Out of the top 15 on the list, I realized that I hadn’t even smoked half of them. And of those I did smoke, I hardly remembered how they tasted. Maybe I moved on from mild cigars a little too quickly.

Of course, I didn’t forget them completely. As a periodic smoker of mild cigars, I decided to give these underrated smokes another chance to shine.

If you’re a new cigar smoker, or just enjoy an easy to smoke cigar, this first-class list is just for you.

Acid Kuba Kuba

Acid cigars are made with Nicaraguan tobaccos that are infused with exotic oils, herbs and botanical essences, making them the world’s most unique tasting and aromatic cigars. This mellow-smoking cigar is without a doubt the perfect smoke to top the list. It’s mix of infused tobaccos rolled inside a delicately spicy Indonesian wrapper makes this a cigar you won’t forget.

Baccarat

The saying on the cigar band translates to “It is sweet doing nothing.” Finished with a sweetened cap, these classic Honduran cigars are designed for relaxation, and even more so when paired with drinking coffee. Some cigar smokers may call this an “old man’s smoke” but I can assure you, Baccarat is a cigar for every age and experience.

Rocky Patel American Market Selection

With a mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos rolled in a golden Connecticut Shade wrapper, this cigar is sure to rock your world. Rocky Patel doesn’t usually play on the mild side, but this is an intriguing smoke that’s also affordable and a no-brainer to have on the best sellers list.

Oliva Connecticut Reserve

Smooth, mellow and creamy — a true triple threat. Known for their full-bodied cigars, Oliva Connecticut Reserve nails it for cigar smokers who want a mild Nicaraguan cigar in this earthy, rich-tasting smoke.

Macanudo Café

If the phrase, “mild cigar” had a picture next to it in the dictionary, it would be a Macanudo Café cigar. Known as “America’s Cigar” for decades, these classic, Dominican-made cigars rolled in the silkiest Connecticut Shade wrappers are the ideal smoke for any and all social gatherings. From playing golf to drinking a beer, a Macanudo Café is the perfect cigar for sharing among friends.

Ashton Classic

“Classic” is definitely the keyword to describe this bestselling cigar brand made at the Arturo Fuente cigar factory. It’s rich Dominican flavor features the sweet, creamy, and buttery profile that every mild cigar lover looks forward to celebrating with.

The Griffin’s

The Griffin’s cigars are made with the most fully-aged Dominican filler tobaccos and Connecticut Shade wrappers. Made in the same factory as Davidoff Cigars, The Griffin’s are not afraid to stand out. Characterized by a mellow cedary component, I was surprised that I didn’t cross paths with this cigar sooner, but I’m now going to make it a part of my cigar collection.

La Aurora Cameroon

La Aurora Cameroon cigars have been around since 1903 when La Aurora Cigars was founded. With 100+ years of experience, it’s no wonder these mild Dominican cigars made the list. They’ve been both one of the DR’s local favorites as well as most American cigar smokers for their well-rounded Cubanesque flavor and very affordable price.

Tatiana Classic Vanilla

A sweet treat of a cigar — and very different from the rest in this list. The Tatiana Classic Vanilla has aged Dominican tobacco infused with natural vanilla flavoring for your sweet tooth, and the Sumatra wrapper adds an overall mellow aroma. This well-rounded and affordably-priced cigar makes a most satisfying delight.

Don Tomas Special Edition Connecticut

This Don Tomas selection adds a warm, satisfying component to its creamy flavor profile. As mild cigars go, it has a Dominican, Nicaraguan and Mexican tobacco blend wrapped in an naturally sweet and aromatic U.S.-grown Connecticut shade-grown wrapper — the finest Connecticut wrapper leaf there is, and the most expensive. Yet, surprisingly, the Don Tomás Special Edition Connecticut is a very affordably priced cigar.

My Father Connecticut Robusto

This one isn’t just for the mild cigar lovers. If you typically go for medium or full bodied cigars as well, this My Father selection is definitely worth adding to your collection. With its signature notes of Nicaraguan earth and spice, this taste of this lighter Don Pepin Garcia creation is augmented by a stunning Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Good looking and very refined.

Davidoff Long Panatela

Not as velvety as its premium brothers, this super-slim Davidoff cigar has a mild Brazilian-Caribbean blend with an Indonesian binder and wrapper. Plus, it’s so mild you could make it an everyday smoke. If you’re looking for a class act to keep in your cigar humidor, the Davidoff Long Panatela is a smart choice.

Let’s say you’re the kind of cigar connoisseur savvy enough to have smoked all of the above cigars. Congratulations, you have successfully out-smoked us all! However, if you still haven’t found your perfect mild cigar, here are some other best seller cigar suggestions that are worth a try:

Plasencia Reserva Organica: Looking to step up your game? Then this mild-medium blend is just for you. 100-percent Certified Organic, the natural flavor of its all-Nicaraguan aged tobacco blend is truly a rewarding experience.

CAO Gold: Chances are, this is one of the first cigars you ever smoked. This cigar is a classic and has been in everyone’s starter kit for years. If it wasn’t in yours, it’s time to give it a go.

Nat Sherman Host: Another oldie but goodie. This cigar has been at the top of everyone’s list since the 1930s. Its mild Honduran tobaccos are at the core of this mellow cigar that gets its complex flavor profile from a rich-tasting blend of the finest Dominican tobaccos.
