I think it’s worth noting that by the time the author of the original article was brought in to fix things, the situation may have been too far gone for them to be able to fix the relationship with Rick. That said, there are indications that they did nothing to solve the underlying management issues. The author consistently talks about the team as if they are a separate entity that largely self-manages, meaning the likelihood of this same story playing out again is pretty high.
