Facing Reality.

Reality is not as beneficial or the kindest thing to most American Indian youths. There were thousands of barriers built to stop our reality from being so good long before our grandparents were conceived. Systemic oppression will be alive among the American Indian communities unless every single indigenous person in this country along with some help from the dominant societal group breaks this chain. A college education is the number one thing that can break this systemic oppression. As an American Indian who is currently attending college, you find your self worth, you have the education to know what you and your people deserve and you will have the education to stop the systemic oppression American Indians face. This oppression my community is facing has become a stigma brought to our generation ignorant, selfish and cruel leaders when my ancestors were so selfless and saw the good in them.
