One more point I would like to add about upper case. People uses photo memory to read and word gets registered with its shapes and not with spelling.

So to recall ‘WORD’ in upper case takes more time than ‘word’ in lower case. Lower case word has different shapes and UPPER case has mostly rectangle shape.
