Hahaha, that is a wonderfull story Dennett! And I can imagine it very well, because in our tiny country there are people in the northern provinces and all the way down south who speak an accent only locals can understand. The true Frisians, born and raised there, with their feet in the frisian clay, speak an accent which is accepted and promoted by the European Union (just a few years ago) as a separate language on it’s own.

We have a neighbor who is originated in the south of the Netherlands. If he speaks with his mother on the phone, we can not understand one single word from it.

Haha, she speaks US-English ánd Tennessee… hilarious!
