Wobbly Tables and the Problem with Futurism
Philip Dhingra

Great post. I like the idea of banality as entropic.

I’ve been thinking recently, purely from a science-fictional viewpoint, of the reverse- when will be the end of wobbly tables? Because one day the last wobbly table will wobble for the last time, maybe because all human consciousness has been uploaded (is a digitally wobbly table still wobbly?), or maybe because the sun has exploded, in which case “day” is probably the wrong way to think about it.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
