What was only a week ago, feels more like months. After some long days, blog writing was (and still is!) the least thing i wanted to do, so i’ll keep this one short and sweet.

Our only day in Orlando was spent at Islands of Adventure (Universal)- mostly to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We spent 90% of time there and my only complaint was, it could be bigger!

That afternoon we headed to Miami, only a short 4 hour trip (well it seemed short for us). Despite rough sleeping conditions (one rock hard bed and a paper thin mattress on the floor), the accommodation was actually quite nice. The pool definitely being the highlight. Most of our time in Miami was spent poolside, beachside or wandering the main boulevard.

Up early the next day to drive to Pensacola (a random stop in northern Florida on the way back to New Orleans). The 10.5 hour trip there dragged on due to the novelty of a road trip having fully worn off. It was a surprisingly nice place, we chose well (even if was just for a pitstop).

Our final day in the south was spent driving, this would be the last part of our road trip, from there on we would be flying and busing it. We pushed through the 4 hour drive, only stopping to fill up before we handed back the rental forever. No accidents, no scratches and no surprises!
