I hadn’t realized when I lived in Prague and saw Romani there that they and Romanians are seen as one and the same. I did see the incredible hate for Romani in the Czech Republic! It was a bit shocking coming from truly nice people. I got to visit Romania for a week and I loved it and plan to do my dissertation for my PhD on Romania. I can’t believe people would fear going there — when I was there I wanted to buy a house and live there! And I’m an American. Thanks for writing this.
