Emoting to influence the Hatch π£
Weβre on the last steps for the hatch but as you know by now, we like to take NFT tech to the limits, most of times thanks to RMRKβs NFT2.0 tech. This is not the exception. We want to make it special and have you involved.
Starting now, you will have the opportunity to emote on your eggs and those of your friends. The emoji you select will increase the chances of that egg to hatch into a snake with certain traits. The more emojis an egg has of a certain trait, the more chances of it to be full set. Donβt worry about finding the right emote, you will be able to pick them directly from your nest.
There are 16 unique options for each of the 8 traits that compose your snake:
2 Exclusive for each element:
- Fire Eggs may get Fire π₯ and Magma π parts
- Earth Eggs may get Earth ποΈ and Rock πͺ¨ parts
- Water Eggs may get Water π and Ice π§ parts
- Air Eggs may get Air πͺοΈ and Invisible π«₯ parts
4 Special Traits:
- Mecha π¦Ύ
- Skeleton π¦΄
- Zombie π§ββοΈ
- Ghost π»
4 Colored Traits
- Black β«
- Red π΄
- Green π’
- Purple π£
Letβs say I want to have Zombie and Ghost traits on one of my snakes. I would ask my fellow soldiers to send π§ββοΈ and π» emotes to my egg. If I wanted a full set ice snake (only available for water eggs), I would ask them to send π§ reactions.
How do full sets look like?
Here you go, you can easily tell which is linked to each emoji.
Options per Rank
Generals will be full set on one of the 2 traits for their element: 2 options in total.
Commanders have traits from their element or one of the special ones: 6 options in total.
Soldiers have traits from their element, the special ones or the colors: 10 options in total.
For Generals, the full set will be taken from the emoji with the highest count. For Commanders and Soldiers EACH TRAIT is selected randomly from the available options. For every emote on a token, one more option is added to the pool of possible traits.
How many emotes should I try to get?
Letβs talk numbers with examples:
- Take a Water Commander with 2 π reactions. The pool of options changes from [ππ§π¦Ύπ¦΄π§ββοΈπ»] to [ππ§π¦Ύπ¦΄π§ββοΈπ»ππ]. So the chance for EACH TRAIT to be water goes from 1/6 (16.6%) to 3/8 (37.5%).
- For a Soldier with 4 reactions, the pool of options changes from [ππ§π¦Ύπ¦΄π§ββοΈπ»β«π΄π’π£] to [ππ§π¦Ύπ¦΄π§ββοΈπ»β«π΄π’π£π¦Ύπ¦Ύπ¦Ύπ¦Ύ]. So the chance for EACH TRAIT to be mecha goes from 1/10 (10%) to 5/14 (35.7%).
Each trait is emphasized because the chance for a full set (all traits being the same time) to be a specific one is not the same as the chance for each trait. For a full set to happen all traits must be the same, which means that the chance must be powered by the number of traits: 8. More details in the table below.
How to increase your odds?
Thereβs a catch to make it easier: every π + πͺ reaction will count as the emoji with the highest count. So if your egg has 6 π, 4 π and 4 πͺreactions, it will add 10 π to the pool of options.
Depending on the average of reactions per egg, we may count each of them independently, so 14 π might be added. That would give you a decent 10% chance of full set on commanders and 2.3% on soldiers. We know you can do better and we have created a channel to make it easier.
Can I send different reactions in one transaction?
Yes, you can! Just click on Advanced mode. It will allow you to pick different emojis, one per Id. You can even send multiple emotes to the same token. The emojis are assigned in the same order.
For example in the image below, Egg 35 will receive Air and Invisible emotes, and Egg 259 will receive a Ghost. Now your friends have no excuse not to give you a hand.
