NYC ATMs

NYC ATM machines. Good luck with that.

If you happen to need cash on a sunday or after hours during the week, and you don’t have a bank card at any of the major banks around here, you are SOL. I have a School’s First Account (Credit Union), which isn’t anywhere outside of southern California. They do offer co-op atm’s in NYC, but again, if it’s after hours, you are out of luck. Why you ask? Because there are rarely any atms that face the outside street. They are mostly in the lobby of the banks and to get into the lobby, you have to swipe your card. I’ve found a couple that are open sometimes, but they charge a $3 fee. Blah. Sounds like i’m going to need to branch out.

You can always go with the independent (and always conveniently located next to places that are cash only.) atms, but again, super fee.
