LOS ANGELES — Actor Nick Pasqual, 34, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his former girlfriend, a Hollywood makeup artist, multiple times in her Los Angeles home, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
The violent incident occurred on Thursday at 4:30am in the victim’s residence. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Pasqual forcibly entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn, and attacked her with a knife. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds but managed to call for help during the assault.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, providing immediate medical attention before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. She is currently in stable condition and expected to recover, although the emotional and psychological trauma from the attack remains significant.
Following the assault, Pasqual allegedly fled the scene, sparking a manhunt that extended across state lines. Law enforcement agencies, including the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and federal authorities, coordinated efforts to locate him. Pasqual was eventually detained at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Texas, attempting to cross into Mexico.
The apprehension at the border checkpoint was a result of coordinated intelligence and surveillance efforts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers identified Pasqual based on descriptions and alerts issued by the LAPD. He was immediately taken into custody and transported back to Los Angeles to face charges.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón addressed the severity of the case in a press briefing. “This was a brutal and premeditated attack. My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident,” Gascón stated. “Domestic violence and attempted murder are grave crimes that carry severe consequences.”
Pasqual, who has had minor roles in several television series and independent films, faces charges of attempted murder, domestic violence, and burglary. He is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned later this week.
