Smarter format, less padding for dancing.
Why dancers are being steered away from paddingToday, as we are all well aware, dancers need less padding than they used to. This is of course because they are more agile and practiced dancers. If they fall down, they may get hurt, but the padding looks bulky in their dresses and suits. Someone like Fred Astaire was said to have fallen down at least once during each of his performance, and thus, needed all of the padding he wore.
