I really love an obscure app called StyleNote. It’s very basic, as far as a note app goes. But what makes it stand out is its widget (I assume it’s Android only).

I can only describe it as the closest I’ve come to feeling as if I were writing directly to my phone’s screen. Of course, it doesn’t really do that, but its simplicity, clean yet powerful interface, and the widgets' minimal look get as close to that experience as I can imagine — until I guess someone realizes this would be amazing, and figures out how to do it.
