“Trust Me”

Trust me when I say this, our product is better than the one you currently have.”

“You gotta trust me on this, i’m offering you the best price.”

Trust me….

There’s no other phrase in the sales vocabulary that makes a salesperson look more pathetic than “Trust me”. Are you saying that the customer should trust you just because you are asking them to? Or are you using this as a filler? Either way, from the customer’s perspective, it just means that you’ve run out of ideas to back your claim.

If you are asking them to trust your claim, support it with facts. Maybe you can provide a demo or few good case studies. It makes you sound more credible. Whatever you go, get rid of “trust me”.

Trust me on this one.
