Alcohol — a bizarre story.

The concept of alcohol is an amazing one, when you decompose it. The booze that we drink is called ethanol. Two carbons, six hydrogens, one oxygen. Seems harmless enough — rearrange some of those atoms and you have simple table sugar! At least, if my recollection from college Chemistry proves reliable.
