Legacy Esports Team Method Joins Forces with Metaverse Investment Team Everyrealm to Launch Method MetaGuild
Method, one of the longest-running and most established esports organizations, and Everyrealm, a leader in metaverse innovation and investment, officially announced today the formation of Method MetaGuild (MMG), a blockchain gaming guild. MMG leverages Method’s 17-year track record of creating competitive esports communities and events, and today counts more than 3,000 competitive gamers playing blockchain-based games under the Method MetaGuild banner.

With established blockchain gaming guilds starting to form coalitions, the best guilds with the strongest metrics–which Method MetaGuild is already demonstrating–are likely to dominate this growing scene in the future,” said MMG co-founder Scott (Sco) McMillan.
MMG is backed by Griffin Gaming Partners, Galaxy Interactive, Three Arrows Capital, NGC, Foresight Ventures, and GoldenTree Crypto. Everyrealm is backed by high-profile investors including a16z, Lightspeed, Coinbase, Dapper Labs, Zynga-founder Mark Pincus, and celebrities including Paris Hilton and the Weeknd. The purpose of the collaboration is to develop the competitive ecosystem within blockchain gaming and bring traditional gamers into the space.
MMG is partnering with blockchain games such as Delysium, Planet Mojo, Axie Infinity, and Cyball and is collaborating with the gaming industry’s largest and most prominent guilds to create a sustainable esports ecosystem. The first MMG esports event, the MMG Showdown, a two-day double elimination Axie Infinity tournament on June 4–5, 2022 will have players competing for a prize of 150 AXS tokens.
