Habibi!

My grandfather was a professor of classical Arabic at AUB over a century ago (he was born in 1856 in Bishmezzine). Listening to your comments here and there about the Lebanon and Levantine heritage always delight me. Though as a first-generation US citizen I’ve yet to physically touch the land of my grandfather, you consistently bring greater insights to the intellectual geography of our diaspora culture and indigenous heritage, at least the parts I adoringly embrace.
