I think I would compare myself to Jo.
Jo March is a good writer.
She loves to write and she writes with a purpose.
I love the way she write with passion and eager to get her writings to be published. And so she could earn money, not for herself but for her family.
I would like to be just like Jo, I want to do things I passionate about and I want to sacrifice for my family.
However, I’m afraid that one day I would end up just like Jo — facing the challenges and battles before I could achieve the DREAM and the LIFE that I want.
I am afraid that just like Jo, I end up losing the love of my life — the one that I desire the most yet I choose to distance myself to them, not for my own good but for theirs.
I hope that one day people wouldn’t hate me, If suddenly I become just like Jo.
Since the passion, ambition and talent I have, speaks the most — I want to use it for a good fortune.
“Isn’t it selfish?” They asked.
“Sorry but I want to live with my passion and I want to be successful.” I replied.
Someday everyone will understand why it’s both a blessing and a curse to be just like Jo.
And if suddenly someone might ask, if I still want to be just like her.
I would probably choose to be just myself.
“Who I am I? If I am not who I am I”, I said.
Being Jo, is what I inspired to be but I still have my OWN story to tell, my OWN voice to hear and my OWN words to use.
“And for once, I would like to choose myself”, I demand.
So to everyone who are reading this, I hope that you understand the true meaning of choosing yourself; be yourself.
This act isn’t selfishness and it will never be some short of cliche because its the way of accepting yourself.
“Be that someone who’s remarkable — make history my dear”, they said.
“I’ll make history with my own”, I replied.
Everyone and each of us has our own purpose. Now, take this chance to live in this world with act and enthusiasm to move forward.
Discover something new about yourself.
Because one day you’re gonna be like Jo March — a human who values him/herself and use its own beauty to stand along with the crowd.
