Being an Imposter Woman in Tech

I enjoyed this read, although I’m one of the great majority of women in tech struggling with impostor syndrome. What I don’t understand is how you could say “ I sometimes secretly wish that I had had a more difficult time so that I could have an inspiring story to share (…)”; this is offensive for me. I don’t think you’d rather, for example, be left out of important meetings (I was told exactly “this is no place for women” when I asked why I was the only developer that was left out of the requirements meeting) based on your gender, just for the sake of having something to write about.
I’m sorry if I misunderstood what you meant.
