Announcing the mthree Aspire Scholarship to Combat the Impact COVID-19 is Having on the Job Market
In an effort to help computer science and STEM technology graduates find employment during the COVID-19 crisis, emerging talent partner to global, blue-chip enterprises, mthree, in association with The Software Guild, will offer the Aspire Scholarship to provide an online full stack development bootcamp and job placement assistance.
The Aspire Scholarship is open to 2019 or 2020 college graduates in Computer Science or an associated STEM technology field who also possess some level of web coding experience or education. The 12-week bootcamp will be completed online and in a remote capacity and will help prepare graduates to secure positions as full-stack Java developers at one of mthree’s blue-chip clients. The training modules, projects, and assessments have been engineered in partnership with The Software Guild to reflect the technical environments commonly found within global companies.
At the end of training, mthree will work to place graduates in a 24-month, full-time career within a global investment bank, regulatory authority, or other leading tech business. In addition, these placement opportunities will include:
· Semi-annual salary increases.
· Valuable networking opportunities.
· Additional career placement opportunities at the conclusion of the 24-month term.
The 12-week training course will consist of virtual instruction in a 1-on-1, hands-on environment from today’s leading web development professionals. Course offerings will include in-depth training and education on Core Java OOP, Data Driven Web Application, professional development, business skills, project management, and other critical strengths for entry and success in today’s technology marketplace. The training is designed to help make students not only top-notch developers, but also enterprise ready professionals who can hit the ground running from day one.
“mthree’s training did a great job at preparing me for my role,” said Suzanne, an mthree alumni and current software developer. “The knowledge I learned has been used and put to the test since day one.”
Founded in 2010, mthree has trained students in all aspects of software development, production support, Dev Ops, data science, cyber security, anti-financial crime, and business analysis, and has placed graduates in high-level positions across the technology sector in North America, UK, Europe, and Asia. In partnering with The Software Guild, which provides immersive, hands-on coding education to train the next generation of talented software engineers, the Aspire Scholarship looks to not only assist those with the skills and desire to become true disruptors in tech, but also help ease the burden across the technology marketplace created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Candidates for the Aspire Scholarship must be available for virtual coursework from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for the duration of the 12-week period. Candidates must also have reliable access to basic IT set-ups including laptops/PCs, webcams, and microphone or audio interfaces.
