Greetings dear readers of my blog! Today I am going to make a review of Getscreen.me — an interesting service for remote computer management which I have been using for a long time as an alternative to Teamviewer. And although there are a lot of services for remotely connecting to computers, I am sure that you will be interested in this one.

The main points for which I personally liked it immediately — the work through the browser, integration with Telegram (there are cool features) and a convenient personal account through which everything is managed.

Introduction

Getscreen.me site is simple and straightforward, nothing too much, great UX. The connection process may seem complicated at first, since you don’t have to install the client on your computer, as with other devices. But you can watch the video tutorial, which explains everything in detail.

The main feature of the product, as it seemed to me — work through the browser. All the usual remote management tools that I usually use (Teamviewer, Anydesk, etc.) require that you run the client on the computer from which you connect. That said, Getscreen.me works about the same way, only through a browser.

I personally have no complaints about the connection speed or picture quality. Additional functionality is offered comparable — file transfer, clipboard, reboot the device, support for multiple monitors, chat. Even a voice call is available!

The program works using traditional WebRTC and WebSocket technologies, so the connection is possible to all popular operating systems — Windows, Linux, MacOS. There is a mobile version of the client for connecting to remote computers. There is a free plan to manage two computers. This may be enough for personal use.

Personal Account

If you want to try out the Getscreen.me service, it makes sense to register in your personal cabinet. After that you will get the following features:

  • Manage the list of computers to which you’ve configured permanent access (distribution by groups, categories)
  • Create invitation links for clients, and when they click on them, you’ll automatically connect to them.
  • Set up agent branding for connections.
  • Record and view connection history.
  • Integration with external services (Google Chrome, Telegram, Jira)
Adding devices into groups

You can access your computers directly from your personal cabinet. Here you can also copy the connection link so that you can connect directly in the future, for example, from your browser bookmarks. This link can be password protected and passed on to someone, so that he can quickly connect without access to your personal account.

If you are used to working with desktop applications, you can download the Getscreen.me dashboard for Windows or Linux.

Computers in the private office can be renamed, moved into groups, and added to favorites. In other words, the functionality is also designed to manage a large fleet of equipment. For each computer you can get a short summary of the main characteristics.

This is what the agent looks like, which you need to download in order to access remote computers.

Remote Support

If you provide remote assistance to customers, the Quick Support feature will be useful to you. Simply send an invitation to your client in email or messenger and wait for them to accept the invitation so that you can manage their remote table.

Quick Access

Getscreen.me Remote Desktop Features

After connecting to the client, you will see the connection panel, which is very convenient for the various options for remote access.

During the remote session, the operator can:

  • communicate with the client in chat or by voice
  • transfer or download files
  • record a session
  • use auto-translate function
  • take screenshots
  • lock cursor and mouse

Pricing Model

Getscreen.me Remote Desktop works by subscription (monthly, annual). The cost depends on the number of operators and remote devices you need. For a small business, with one operator and 50 remote devices the price will be $100 per year. Quite democratic when compared to competitors. There is a handy pricing calculator on the site, you can jiggle the prices yourself and figure out how much you need to pay.

For personal use, there is a free plan that allows you to connect to two devices.
