Following her heartfelt appeal to buy new sets of uniforms for eight needy pupils from her school, the organization has stepped in to purchase uniforms for the pupils.

Nicholas Walaga, the founder of Sole for African Child, told TUKO.co.ke he looks forward to supporting the children who were previously under the care of their teacher.

Responding to teacher Joice Malit’s appeal for uniforms, Soles For African Child swiftly sent donations to address the immediate need.

“I have been able to get in touch with Madam Joice Malit. I’m proud she supports a children’s home of over 70 children who have run from early marriage and matters of FGM,” said Walaga.

“We have been able to send our small donations for the uniforms for now. We shall work hand in hand with the AIC children home in Narok,” he added.

He further highlighted the significant impact that the foundation, Soles For African Child, aims to achieve in reaching and assisting vulnerable children across the country.

Malit is also a dedicated teacher who supports a children’s home, providing a safe haven for over 70 children who have escaped early marriage and the practice of FGM.

Expressing his gratitude, Nicholas pointed out his commitment to collaborating with the AIC Children’s Home in Narok, ensuring ongoing support and assistance.

Plans are underway for a team from the organization to visit the school and children’s home, exploring further ways to make a positive impact.

The inspiring actions of Nicholas and his foundation exemplify the power of collective effort in reaching the most vulnerable members of society.

By responding to the appeal and providing uniforms for the children, they have demonstrated their dedication to uplifting and empowering young lives.

Madam Sempela became a darling of the masses after a photo of her seated with a needle and thread repairing a dress as the young girl stood beside her was shared on social media.

She told TUKO.co.ke that apart from eight-year-old Shirleen Saiton Saipiri, who catapulted her into a national hero, she has been taking care of others whom she needs help with.

According to the passionate educator, the students were from a children’s home nearby, so they lack most of the school items.
