Meet Musician, Artist And Fashion Model Dominique Davenport
Dominique Davenport, also known as Lovedom is a musician, painter and fashion model currently residing in the Bronx. She was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens.
Painting and singing has been apart of her life since she was a child. Dominique started drawing at the age of four, maybe even earlier and kept in touch with her first tune around six years old . Dominique’s father, who is a graffiti artist inspired her to start drawing. She would watch him draw cartoons in the newspaper and follow him by doing the same.
Dominique developed a passion for drawing and the arts. She went to the High School of Art and Design, then the fashion Institute of Technology for college and attended many different art courses throughout New York City, including the Art Students League and Cooper Union’s pre-college programs. “I always wanted to pursue music but I didn’t know how to go about it. When I was in school I will try to be a part of plays and school performances” she said.
Her goals as a musician is to perform live shows across the world and continue to write and release music.
Right after college she was hired as a jewelry designer/artist for a diamond company where she worked for five years. The company was going through changes and had to let her go right before Covid. She took that as a sign to invest 100% of her time and energy into her own art business; painting custom portraits for people, working on house paintings, digital art and illustrations. Dominique is also partnering with her fiancé who is a photographer and they’re working on commercial and editorial photoshoots.
She’s also expanding into different art merchandise and she’ll be launching soon.
