Which Came First, The Technology’s Agency or The Human’s Agency?

Love the thoughts Jen, and wholly agree with them. I wonder could it be that we are missing the key component of levels when it comes to intelligence? Or trying to assign agency?

Might it be that in order to make an argument, some need to assign the same level of intelligence (as observed in the Human) to non-intelligent objects? Sort of like personification (which is typically done with animals (Bugs Bunny)) but applying that to inanimate objects. What do you think about that?

If we are going to try to assign the same level of intelligence or conscious awareness to inanimate objects shouldn’t these things be suffering the consequences as Humans do? Put in jail, life sentences, or “the gun made me do it” argument? Shouldn’t these things be legit in court and our society? Why is it not so? Just some thoughts…
