My most recent challenging learning experience
It is a common saying that, When one goes through a challenge and come out of it, that person is sure to be a better person.
This has been my motivation as I learn the art of website development through Andela.
I like planning out things before actually getting them done. So in my quest to learn web development, I had given myself a time frame of 12 months to learn the concepts and the syntaxes of it and then start putting the skills to practice through actual building of softwares.
This has not been the case as I undergo the learning process through Andela’s guide. I have been learning different skills like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Git, NodeJS and more.
I have had to learn these skills in less than 2 months. To add to this, I am required to also build a functional web application in the space of two weeks with these new skills.
Indeed this has been the most challenging part considering the features that are expected in this web application.
The challenge is quite daunting and it is tempting to follow the easy route which is quitting. But I remembered a quote I came across recently that says,
“Most times, the difference between winning and loosing is not quitting.”
I am in this to WIN and I am willing to go all the way.
Yes, it is challenging and I am excited about it at the same time because, I know at the other end of the challenge is a better and more experienced web developer.
