Marketing NFTs isn’t a walk in the park, especially if it’s a new project.

But in recent times, we’ve seen projects like BAYC and in Betweeners breaking that barrier.

In 2021 alone, the volume sale of NFTs was $14 billion, making it a breakthrough year for the NFT market.

Also, according to figures provided by NonFungible.com, last week alone, NFT transactions were worth $512 million.

Moving on, here are the ten marketing strategies that will make your NFT project successful in 2022.

1. Social Media

According to stats rom smart insights, 57% of the global population use social media. In addition, the average daily use is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Such stats show how crucial it is to use social media to promote NFT projects or arts.

A good example is Solsnake, who promoted his BAYC NFT on Twitter which led to Eminem buying it.

Here are the best social media sites to promote your NFT art or project:

Twitter

Heard of Crypto Twitter?

If not, it’s a term used by crypto investors to describe how Twitter is a brisk market and how it’s easy to access news or updates within the Solsnake.

In addition, the platform is an excellent place to publish updates or news about your project for your current or potential investors.

You can publish things like offers, drops, or collaborations. I mean, there’s no end to what you can post there.

To boost your engagement:

  • Use relevant tags. For example, #NFT or #NFTCommunity.
  • Like, repost, or comment on Tweets that are relevant to your NFT project.

Discord or Telegram

These two platforms enable crypto or NFT developers to create communities.

And unlike other platforms, Discord and Telegram offer lengthy discussions instead of the usual news or updates.

You can promote your project on Discord through live streams or requesting feedback from your community.

2. Interviews

Doing interviews with NFT influencers is a great way to spread the word about your project. The interviews can be in a Q&A or ask me anything (AMA).

Recently, Breanna Suden, the president of Suden PR, approached me to interview David Ruggeri, an NFT artist.

David has an NFT drop soon, so Breanna Suden wanted me to interview him about it.

You can do the interviews through:

  • Reddit
  • Youtube
  • Zoom
  • Google Meet

3. Collaborating with Celebrities

Well, celebrities are influencers too. Their following guarantees you exposure to a broader market. That is, a market consisting of people from different economic classes.

InBetweeners NFT project is a perfect example. They collaborated with Justin Bieber. This collaboration helped them to leverage his 114.2 million followers on Twitter.

And as we speak, their final sale has sold out.

Giving celebrities exclusive merchandise or a percentage of your revenue is one of the best ways to approach them for a collaboration.

4. Press Releases

You can leverage press releases to generate publicity, news, or attention for your project.

Importantly, they need to address the media, bloggers, and social media influencers.

Also, you can use them to promote your project directly to your target audience.

5. NFT Marketplaces

Listing your art or collections on popular marketplaces is an excellent way to boost sales.

You can list them in popular NFT marketplaces like:

  • OpenSea
  • SuperRare
  • Solsea
  • Digitaleyes
  • Megiceden
  • Solanart
  • Foundation
  • Rarible

6. NFT Calendar

It’s a calendar for NFT events. It covers; NFT drops and exciting events across different industries.

You can submit your drop on nftcalendar.io

7. Crypto Spaces

Here, you can take advantage of the growing popularity of Metaverse to promote your NFT project.

Cryptovoxels and Decentraland are some of the best crypto spaces at the moment.

To add to that, collectors on those crypto spaces:

  • Showcase their NFT collections
  • Socialize
  • Create virtual venues
  • Assemble for exhibitions

8. Website

A website makes it easier for potential clients searching for the latest NFT arts or projects through search engines to find your project.

A website acts as an attraction point to potential buyers or a place for them to learn or know more about your project.

9. PPC Advert Campaigns

These campaigns help you rank your NFT website in top positions in Google. Through them, you can boost your marketing chances.

In addition, a tool like AdWord will help your website rank high for competitive search terms with commercial intent.

10. PR Agencies

Earlier on, I mentioned Suden PR approached me on behalf of their client. And because of that, I now know David Ruggeri is an NFT artist.

Such PR agencies help you to maintain a positive reputation. And as a result, it will be easier for you to market your project or brand.

Conclusion

When people feel they are part of your NFT project, it establishes a great rapport between you and them. So, whichever marketing strategies you deploy, remember engagement comes first!
