Thank you for sharing your story. As with every topic, people are eager to share success stories, but usually remain silent, if their undertaking/endeavour/whatever is not successful. As an mtf who just started transition some months ago, I’m particularly interested in the more critical stories in order to treat the path that lies ahead of me with the neccessary respect. What makes me wonder on your writing however is that (at least it seems to me) you blame your traumatic experience for starting your transition; now, if the outcome of your transition would have been successful in the face of society, i.e. you would have ended up passing near 100%, would you still blame your trauma for transitioning or would you have interpreted it as a catalyst and ended up happy for having transitioned?
