An Open Letter from Clark Magnet Students to Faculty and Administration

As a former student of Clark Magnet High School, I find it quite rude for the faculty and staff to behave in this way regarding an issue that has been ongoing for the past 101 years: an issue that is very sensitive for students within the Armenian community. This raises more important questions in regards to the faculty’s actions and whether they were done intentionally as an act of hatred against Armenian students. In addition, to the staff member that disrespectfully made comments stating “disgrace to America,” the Armenian student body at Clark in no way disgraced American culture, but rather the opposite. Armenians have had the utmost respect for Americans and it’s painful to see that we don’t receive that same respect in return. By making such ethnically biased comments, this staff member has disgraced American values of free speech and freedom of expression instead.
