I Am Not A Journalist.

Nor have I ever had any desire to become one. I think there might have been a fifteen-minute span in third grade where I wanted to be an author when I grew up, but that’s about it.

What I am, though, is curious.

I have always loved psychology, people-watching, and writing, and I think I’ve found a way to combine all three.

So I’ve started a project. I have decided to interview strangers, friends, peers, anyone who will answer a couple questions. I’ll collect answers continuously, and create from them a collection of perspectives and perceptions. I’m naming the project “Sonderlist,” a play on the beautiful (though invented) word “sonder.” Hopefully it makes for some good articles — if not, I’ll be completely content having learned a thing or two about the ubiquitous “they.”
