I remain unknown in your game

I see your nonchalant steps in the direction

of my favourite ice cream place; pause.

you’re a lier. you play with visions, you

don’t care for flavours I prefer; no you

don’t give a damn. but you keep waving

your shoulders in the air as if you’re about

to place a flag on some high mountain peak.

Don’t you dare to pretend, I see you through

my chocolate scoop. No sugar high will let me

forget your indifferent eyes. And after you

conquer what will you have? Hold on, the melting

treat goes down, it hits the ground; a place where

we all need to start. For now, I will find a different

ice cream spot. You enjoy, I won’t wait; it’s no

fun to eat ice cream when the sun is gone.
