How it’s going on

At the beginning of this week I almost turned my brain off. I have been spending the week doing what I want to do. At the beginning of a day I did something useful than I went out to change my environment. Because it’s really hard for me to sit at home almost every day alone.

I went to Starbucks, it’s a great place where I can buy something to eat and sit there as much as I want. There I opened my notebook plugged my Yota modem in it and continued programming or watching something. People there make different environment that I like. They also do something interesting. Some of them meet to learn a foreign language, talk about business or play boardgames. In every Starbucks coffee you can find a book review. I like looking through every image in it. People draw there really interesting and funny things. Some books review look like albums. There’re the greatest pictures I found:

Then I got home and read books or play computer games.

And what useful I already did? Finally I set up my mac mini as a remote torrents loader. I used utorrent and its web ui component. Now I can open an utorrent interface in my browser, upload a torrent file and monitor loading progress. A the beginning of this process I decided that I should set up ssh connection between computers and then I found a console torrent client. I tuned the ssh connection and then I discovered that utorrent already can do all this magic without ssh. But after the successful deal my mac mini decided to go to sleep without internet connection when I unplugged my Yota modem from a router. I found a great console tool which can tune power management in console.

sudo pmset sleep 0 — to turn off sleep mode
sudo pmset sleep 15 — to turn on it

Then I finished my english homework. Also I watched movies in English. The first is Planet 51. It’s a interesting cartoon. It shows story about an astronaut who landed on the planet settled with funny aliens. English there wasn’t hard for me but subtitles helped when I didn’t get a meaning. The second is “Steve Jobs. The lost interview”. It was really interesting. At the beginning of it Steve told about historical events then he was asked about business, Microsoft and his vision of Apple. This interview was made when Steve was fired from Apple and was working on his NEXT and Pixar companies. I recommend this video to watch.

Of course I have been working on my project. I programmed almost every day but not whole days. There I want to do my best that’s why I do it very slowly. I hope I will write about the project there when I finish it.
